Discover The Stunning Speed Of Mach 10: Breaking The Supersonic Barrier

How fast is Mach 10? Simply put, Mach 10 is a measure of speed that is 10 times the speed of sound. That means an object traveling at Mach 10 would be moving at approximately 7,672 miles per hour (12,348 kilometers per hour) at sea level.

The speed of sound varies depending on the temperature of the air, but at sea level, it is approximately 767 miles per hour (1,235 kilometers per hour). So an object traveling at Mach 10 would be moving more than 10 times faster than the speed of sound at sea level.
