In the past, offensive jokes might have only been heard by a few people, but today they can be shared with millions of people in an instant. This has made it much more difficult for comedians to get away with saying offensive things.
• Changing values: The values of society are constantly changing, and this is reflected in the way that we view comedy. In the past, jokes about race, gender, and sexual orientation were more acceptable than they are today. However, these jokes are now seen as offensive and unacceptable.
